Ferrari teamed up with Puma to create high performance foot wear, specifically the Ferrari brand shoes. Puma brought the know how of shoe making and Ferrari brought the branding and legendary insignia. Ferrari shoes range in style from mild loafers to extreme tennis shoes. For most it’s a bit gaudy and over priced, but for Ferrari fanatics it scratches an annoying itch.
Each Ferrari shoe comes equipped with the Ferrari logo, either stitched into the sole of the shoe or on the side. One of the more popular Puma Ferrari shoes is the Drift 2 series, which even includes tire tread styled outsole. The Ferrari logo on this shoe style is a gel emblem along the rear heel, with the famous jumping Puma on bottom.
Puma and Ferrari consider the true Motorsport enthusiast as their target market. Each shoe has been designed by feedback provided by actual Puma F1 drivers, to create the highest level of craftsmanship and contemporary design.
The price of the Ferrari shoes is reasonable for most to afford, making it the only Ferrari emblem encrusted item they ever own. But for those lucky enough to actually be behind the wheel of a Ferrari, the Puma driving shoes are a must.

[ad#Google Adsense]Do you remember me mentioning the Ferrari 250 GT being auctioned off last month? Most experts felt the movie car would bring in around $65,000, but boy were they wrong. The Ferrari 250 GT ended up selling for $122,000!
The dollar amount it fetched is truly impressive, considering flights were limited due to the volcanic ash. Therefore there were less bidders than was expected, yet enough were on tap to allow the 250 GT to soar to prices far above expectations. The winning bidder was an American, although I wonder if it will be brought back to the US or he was living in Europe at the time.
Wherever home is, time to hurry back to the garage, prop up the rear tires, throw it in reverse, and rollll that odometer back. Maybe next auction it would go for a higher price because of fewer miles and no one will notice a thing. 😉
Although not a true blue Ferrari 250 GT, it is the replica used on the set of the movie Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. The car will be going up for auction in Britain next month and expect to bring in close to $65,000 USD. Had the car been an actual Ferrari 250 GT Spyder California that amount would have been much higher, so the price point is being set only because the replica was used in a popular 80’s film.
Consider the fact that Ferrari only made 100 250 GT’s between 1958 and 1963. The Ferrari 250 series cars were also credited with inspiring Lamborghini to start making sports cars, originally a tractor manufacturer. The story goes that Ferrucio Lamborghini owned 3 Ferrari 250 series cars, but was unhappy with frequent clutch problems. So he complained to Enzo Ferrari, which in turn simply insulted Ferrucio. Ferrucio Lamborghini pledge to build a better GT car than Ferrari and thus the legends were born.
Is the world ready for another legendary Ferrari GTO? Doesn’t matter, your dreams are about to be overwhelmed with the vision of a 700 horsepower Ferrari monster, which goes by the name 599 GtO.
The 599 GTO is supposed to be the first real predecessor to the Ferrari 288 GTO made over 25 years ago. According to Ferrari CEO Amedeo Felisa, the 599 can now get it’s proper extreme treatment like only Ferrari can deliver. Originally the 599 was slated to be released as a GT car, but now expect nothing less than a road legal race car.
Power comes via an evo inspired 6 liter V12, capable of revving to 9000 rpm. With a freshly tweaked transmission the Ferrari 599 GTO is expected to do 0-60 in 3.7 seconds. My face just melted typing that last bit.
Now, go hang your panties on the furnace vent and enjoy the pics below.
