I'm choosing not to discuss GM filing bankruptcy on The-Grayline automotive blog. There is entirely enough coverage out there already and frankly I'm tired of the bad news. So for now, if you wanna get the dirt, please search elsewhere. This thread is reserved for talking about the positive things GM has done over the years.

I'll start things off.

At the end of 2007, Saturn gave away a brand new Vue Hybrid to The Nature Conservancy North Carolina Chapter.

Next.

Why hasn't anyone proposed this merger? I know they have been arch rivals for years but it's time to suck it up. They should have merged rather than Fiat.

It looks like all the domestic manufacturers closed decently yesterday, although obviously well below any goals. Right now every manufacturer is looking to conserve money, build market share, and figure out a way to get consumers to start buying cars again.

GM Closed $2.04
Ford Closed $5.11

Over 270,000 GM vehicles have been recalled due to a faulty shifter. Obviously throwing salt on the wound of the domestic manufacturers open gash that is their sales figures.
