The headquarter’s property includes preserved wetlands on a 465-acre site. A wide variety of wildlife species have been observed on the site and the area includes a 1.5-mile nature trail as well as an activities area with a ball field and picnic tables. There are four natural wetlands on Chrysler’s property. These wetlands are an important habitat for great blue herons, which have formed a nesting colony on the property. The water levels and water quality of the wetlands are maintained for all wildlife by directing road runoff away from the wetlands, direct precipitation into the wetlands, and minimizing erosion.

Back in 1978 one of the most interesting trucks ever made was released by Dodge. Called the Lil’ Red Express Truck, this vehicle offered unique styling and outrageous performance. In fact, in 1978, the Dodge Lil’ Red Express was the fastest American-made vehicle from 0 to 100 MPH as tested by Car and Driver magazine. Yes, this included the Corvette and other brute American steel in comparison.
How could this be? The service manager at Arrigo Automotive in West Palm Beach, FL tells us that it was due to the EPA emission regulations at the time. Because of a loophole in the regulations, the 1978 Dodge Lil’ Red Express Truck did not have to have any restrictive catalytic converters in the exhaust pathway like passenger cars did. What the Lil’ Red Express did have was pure performance. The engine was a special high performance 360 ci 4-barrel small block engine which was a modified version of the company’s 360 ci police engine. The package also included Hemi style free-flow mufflers with a crossover pipe breathing through 2 x 2.5” monster chrome stacks located behind the cab, a specially modified Mopar 727 automatic transmission and 3.55:1 rear axle gearing.
Will Audi be releasing a 4 door A7 coupe in 2010? Audi has hinted that a production 4 door sport coupe has been in process, at least since the Detroit Auto Show where a potential A7 was being displayed. In my opinion it’s taking a pretty big gamble on the market, the same gamble Porsche is with their Panamera. Of course, we all know the condition Porsche currently is in.
If Audi does decide to bring the 4 door A7 to market in 2010, it will be 1 of 3 super fast grocery getters. Not a whole lot you can’t do with a super charged v6 of super charged v8 engine, but would you really want to be doing that in an ugly 4 door confused vehicle?
