Nissan Repair Manual has a virtually endless list of manufacturers, models and vintages that is so comprehensive that you will find yourself trying to catch it out by looking for your old cars on there as well as downloading the guide for your current one. With this information to hand, all you need to concern yourself with is downloading the correct manual and keeping the information close to hand for the hopefully rare occasions when a fault occurs.

Just because people associate Wal Mart with low prices (and sometimes low quality), that doesn't mean more expensive or "big company" oil change places are any better. I took my car into Wal Mart for oil changes for a long time (close to 2 years) and never had a problem. I decided to stop one day by a Mobil 1 Lube shop to get oil change on the way home from work. I also had a radiator flush. I left and at the next stop light, I heard a hissing sound from the engine and smelled a strange odor. I pulled into a gas station and lifted the hood, and the radiator cap was sitting on top of the battery. The idiot at Mobil 1 had forgotten to put the cap back on. Considering it cost me almost 3x as much to get the oil change there compared to Wal Mart, you'd think you would be getting or more detailed service. But that isn't the case at all. Bottom line, no matter where you take your vehicle, there can be mistakes. Wal Mart isn't any better or worse than any place else that changes oil.

I have taken my 1999 Malibu to Walmart for oil changes and tire rotations for the last 10 years. NO ONE else has touched my car or went under the hood. I have had a brake caliper bolt stolen, cover for headlight access and intake manifold bolt removed. None of these parts were needed access to my requested services. I just bought a new car and I will NEVER use Walmart for services again.

What a bummer Stephanie, I agree, why chance it and spend just a marginal more on price and make sure it gets done by someone other than kids. Better safe than sorry on such an expensive investment like a car.

July 6, 2009, I went to my local Walmart, had my oil changed, however, as I was driving home, I heard something under the hood move, and then started to smell oil burning. When I got home (three miles away) I told my son, who looked under the hood, and noticed they did not put the oil cap on. He called and spoke with Tom. Tom said he would try and locate a cap at a local Chevy dealership. Tom called back stating there was not an oil cap in the entire state of georgia for a Chevy Tracker. It will take five days to order. In the future I will go to a reputable dealership to get oil changes or anything else done for that matter.
