Expect more of the same for the 09 BMW 7 Series, at least for the basics, it's in the engine options that it gets real exciting. Not only will you 'reportedly' be able to get the BMW 7 Series in V8 and V12 trim, but also an alternative fuel option as well. Generally speaking expect an Electric Hybrid type motor available in the 09 BMW.

Toyota is doing another push for the love it or loathe it Scion, with the special edition Scion Hot Lava xD. This will be a very limited edition Scion with Toyota making only 2,000 units. The Scion marketing ploy will entail 12 major cities, Website Banner Ads, and Newspaper ads all over the US. This week it will be hard not to see some face of the Scion in your day to day life.
"Release Series vehicles give us the unique opportunity to communicate what our brand is about but with a twist," Jack Hollis, Scion's vp, said in a statement. "The smoking mobile billboards and street teams wearing the protective heat gear will engage consumers and bring additional awareness of the Scion brand and excitement to the xD RS 1.0's distinctiveness."
The Scion xD release marks the 5th Anniversary for Scion in the US and frankly it's being met with mixed reviews. As far as a collectors car, time will tell, but for the giddy car lover in me I don't want one. Of course, i was never one for the go-cart driving feel of the Toyota Scion. But for a teenager who gets everything, $17,169 delivers the Toyota Scion Hot Lava xD.

It looks like Saturn is trying to make a publicity push by having the Astra appear in the live action movie Transformers 2. There is not a whole lot of information available about the new Transformer movie, let alone the Saturn Astra, that's been seen with Shia LaBeouf behind the wheel.
No, we do not know if the Saturn Astra will be a Transformer or not, but it's still good advertising to a younger crowd for Saturn.

If you are not aware, hybrid technology is extremely expensive to develop and implement, that's why some manufacturers are striking deals. A few years ago Nissan made a deal with Toyota to buy into their hybrid technology, which will allow them to produce their next hybrid vehicle, the 2008 Nissan Altima Hybrid.
The ability for Nissan to 'buy into' the hybrid technology Toyota has already developed will save them countless dollars to develop the technology in house. The engine lurking under this hood will be a little less potent that your normal internal combustion Nissan engine, but couple with the electric motor should produce up to 198 horsepower. The Nissan Altima hybrid will be running on the 2.5 liter QR25 engine.
As you can tell from the 08 Altima picture above, there are no different styling cues that will separate the hybrid from the normal Altima. There will be some hybrid badges, but everything else will remain the same, just like the 07 Altimas.

The Honda FCX Clarity is starting to get some bad publicity, considering it's not as green as it seems. According to industry analysts the Honda Hydrogen-Powered small size car is not the answer to our fuel problems and may be more disaster than relief. First thing that comes to my mind is the famous fire ball known as The Hindenburg.
Furthermore it appears that Honda may be producing the FCX Clarity as nothing more than a publicity stunt. Honda is planning to produce a very limited number of the Clarity, meaning 200, all pre-sold to actors and other big wigs. Smells like they are looking cook up some advertising, but actually solve our addiction to gasoline...no.
After some closer inspection of the technologically advanced hydrogen-powered FCX Clarity, you realize your not really saving fossil fuels. Electricity is still required to produce hydrogen and as we all know the majority of our electricity is still coming from burning fossil fuels. Industry experts call this a displacement of pollution, not actually making it green at all.
Obviously none of this sounds nearly as good as just saying that the Honda FCX Clarity emits water from it's tail pipe instead of carbon dioxide. Like most minorities, the cuter ones always get the most attention.

If you've got a turbo charged or super charged car or truck then you know the benefits of keeping that air cool. The cooler the air the more power that can be made at the wheels and the more efficient your power adder will be. Water Injection is a growing trend amongst those with power adders and eBay is becoming a source for engine modification parts at a discount.
Benefits of Water Injection
Another test vehicle - a 97 Pontiac Trans Am with an ATI P1SC supercharger. Originally this came to us with the standard 8 psi pulley and 2 core intercooler. After installing this water injection system we were able to upgrade to a 12 psi pulley on the stock engine! During a hard run, autotap showed ZERO knock count using the stock, agressive timing curve! An amazing 105 rear wheel horsepower increase! Non intercooled super/turbo charged vehicles will show far more impressive gains due to a larger drop in intake air temp.

The Ford Mustang continues to be a top searched query on eBay Motors, mainly because there is such a huge inventory and prices are down. Specifically you can find a ton of 04 Mustang GT's, V6's, Cobras, etc on eBay right now and some starting as low as $5,000.
If you are new to eBay Motors and looking to buy a Mustang, don't forget you cal always narrow your search down to a designated amount of miles within your zip code. Often this is an over looked feature of eBay and can make your car buying experience that much more pleasurable. After all freight on a car can sometimes ruin a good deal.

I hate picking up news like this, where a group of ATV enthusiasts get blamed for a devastating fire. From what I can tell no one was hurt, but news like this lands a blow to ATV riders out looking for a safe fun place to ride. Talks are already happening that are planning to review current ATV laws and regulations in the Manitoba area.
The fire was started from dry grass or debris getting caught in a muffler and then falling to the ground. How they can tell this for certain I'll never know, since a cigarette would leave a similar small fire and/or spark. No doubt there is a lobbyist in the midst somewhere down the line. Hopefully it won't impact the ATV crowd too much, especially being this time of year when you need to get out and ride!

Hyundai has announced that they will be releasing a Lithium-Ion Hybrid Elantra model by next year. To me that says they will have this giant energizer bunny that seats 4 available by January 09. The problem is that I've seen dates like this come and go and if released too early causes nothing but battery recalls.

Despite all the technology it's only expected to produce less than 40mpg. Don't get me wrong, this is great, but guessing at what the price tag will be I could still buy a lot more gas by buying a cheaper car than what this thing could save me. $4 per gallon hurts, but if buying a $10,000 less car means I can put gas in my existing car for a further 8 years, so be it.
